Meet Dr. Rabinowitz

Best Vet Houston - Dr. Steven Rabinowitz

Dr. Rabinowitz is a 2012 graduate of the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine located in North Grafton, Massachusetts. He is a native New Yorker and moved down south in the summer of 2012 to join the Meyerland Animal Clinic. Although, he misses the fall foliage of New England, Dr. Rabinowitz has yet to complain about not scraping the ice off of his windshield since moving to Houston. Dr. Rabinowitz is joined by his beautiful wife Tova and their darling 2 year old daughter Rena. Since moving to Houston the Rabinowitz family has been warmly welcomed by the Jewish community, with Dr. Rabinowitz serving as a board member for the Young Israel of Houston and his wife Tova, teaching Judaic studies at Beth Yeshurin Day School this past year. Be sure to wish them a mazel tov, they’re expecting a baby in October!!

Dr. Rabinowitz finds all aspects of veterinary medicine fascinating but is particularly interested in Dentistry and Dermatology. He especially likes to spend his time educating clients so that preventative care is understood, leading to happy and healthy pets! Compassion and care are two words that Dr. Rabinowitz brings to every appointment. He firmly believes that it is a veterinarian’s job to take into consideration both your’s and your pet’s best interests in each and every exam.

I brought my 2yr. old Maltese here that I purchased from someone on Craigslist and they were very helpful, super nice and very accommodating! A few weeks later we had to put our 18yr old Lhasa Apso to sleep. Although, he was not a patient here they gladly took very good care of us. My mom called around to several other hospitals and they were the cheapest. The girls at the front, the doctor who administered the final injection and the nurse were absolutely caring and compassionate and it really shows they care about their job and what they do. We put our dog to sleep on Monday and they called us on Thursday to pick up his remains. His remains came in a nice wooden sealed box with his name engraved, a certificate of cremation, and a condolence card. From MAC we recieved a condolence card in the mail signed by the entire staff…truly a clinic that cares about their patients even though our dog was only their patient for that day.
